2012 ACS SWRM Call for Papers

Abstracts are now being accepted for the 68th Southwest Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society, being held in Baton Rouge, LA at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center on the bank of the Mississippi River, Nov. 4-7, 2012.

 

The meeting will feature an exceptional technical program including twenty symposia covering a variety of topics, including catalysis for clean energy technologies, dispersants for deep sea oil spills, spectroscopy of nanoparticles, women chemists as mentors and leaders, carbohydrate chemistry, polymers for chemosensing, electronic, and optical applications, bioinorganic chemistry, and chemistry and structural biology. The Industry Roundtable on November 5th will feature top level executives from area chemical companies who will discuss the bright future for the chemical industry in Louisiana and surrounding states. There also will be poster sessions and workshops on a wide range of topics as well as a vendor exhibition. Exciting educational programming is planned for teachers in high school and in higher education and the LSU Student Member Group will host a number of fun and informative events for undergraduates. Online abstracts may be submitted July 30 through Sept. 9, 2012. 

 

Special early bird registration rates for SWRM 2012 are available until September 7th. Advance registration for SWRM 2012 is Sept. 8, 2012 through Oct. 15, 2012.  Regular registration continues through the last day of the meeting.
