LSU SRP Researchers Contribute to New Publication on Exposures to Electronic Cigarettes
A collaborative paper involving LSU SRP researchers and colleagues has been published bringing attention to environmentally persistent free radicals or EPFRs in electronic cigarettes (E-cigs). "Exposure to Electronic Cigarettes Impairs Pulmonary Anti-Bacterial and Anti-Viral Defenses in a Mouse Model" discusses how e-cig vapor weakens the immune system in the lungs and contains some of the same harmful chemicals found in tobacco cigarettes.
